In the Rothenfeld Evangelical-Lutheran cemetery, on the left side of the main entrance, there is an oblong war graves burial section containing the remains of victims of World War II from different countries. The largest group are Polish citizens. The 18 metal memorial plaques attached to stone slabs bear the names of 18 Polish forced labourers inscribed upon them. The gravestones were changed in 2015.
According to the archival lists of graves in the Rothenfeld cemetery, in total, 50 Polish citizens were buried here. However, to this day, no trace has survived of the graves of 29 Polish children who were born and died during the war.
