The war graves burial section in the Haselünne Cemetery is located to the left of the chapel. In total, 79 victims are interred here - 11 Russian prisoners of war, 2 German soldiers who fell in World War I and 66 persons of Polish nationality.
The Polish War Graves Cemetery is located on the right side, and it is the final resting place for 66 Polish soldiers from the 1st Polish Armoured Division, as well as Polish forced labourers and prisoners of war from the Warsaw Uprising. Most died in the Polish military hospital in Haselünne after the end of World War II, between 1945 and 1946. The remains of the other victims were moved to the site from other cemeteries.
The names of the victims who came from Poland are inscribed upon a stone plaque placed in the central part of this cemetery section. Next to it stands a metal memorial plaque funded by the Main Board of the Union of the Circles of the 1st Polish Armoured Division in the United Kingdom.
