The central part of the cemetery is marked by an oblong granite obelisk with 5 names of the victims of a railway disaster inscribed upon it, along with information about 10 more victims of this accident. On 20 January 1944, two slow trains crashed into each other at the Porta railway station; 79 persons died and 64 were injured. Among the dead were 2 women and 1 man who came from Poland.
