Cemetery description

The Waldfriedhof Forest Cemetery in Bedburg contains the graves of 30 foreign citizens, at least 17 of whom were Poles. The burial site is located in the south-western part of the cemetery, and is marked by three rows of stone slabs with the names of the victims as well as a stone stele with the following commemorative text devoted to the victims of Nazism: ‘Here lie 30 citizens of Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, the Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia who died during World War II 1938-1949.’
