The Urbach cemetery in Cologne contains two large war graves burial sections. One holds the remains of German victims of World War II. The other burial section, marked on the plan as section 11 E, is a memorial devoted to Soviet victims who died as a result of German persecution.
The present-day official cemetery records state that the Urbach cemetery holds the graves of at least 16 Polish citizens - victims of World War II. However, neither of these two burial sections commemorates them in any way.
