The municipal Bergfriedhof cemetery in Bad Liebenwerda holds the ‘Polish Grave’ in which 5 unidentified forced labourers are interred. Several local residents have reported that during the war these Poles were sentenced to death and hanged in public executions in Weinberge. The collective grave can be found in the back part of the cemetery. The victims are commemorated by means of a granite monument that bears the following memorial inscription: ‘In memory of five unknown forced labourers who lost their lives in 1939-1945.’
