The municipal cemetery in Schwabach contains the graves of civilian victims of World War II. These are located in the very centre of this necropolis, right next to the so-called ‘River of Time’ (‘Fluss der Zeit’). The deceased are commemorated by means of a stone monument with an information plaque that reads as follows: ‘Here lie 13 citizens of Eastern countries as victims of the war. The People’s Association for Military Graves Care and the city of Schwabach created their final resting place here.’
These are persons of Polish origin. Each victim has their own symbolic ceramic headstone that has their personal data inscribed upon them.
