Stadtfriedhof Celle

Cemetery description

In the municipal Celle cemetery (Stadtfriedhof), next to the burial site for German soldiers, there is, separated by a line of trees, a burial site for civilian victims of air bombardments, forced labourers, prisoners of war, and concentration camp prisoners. Among the graves, on the left side, there are two rows of Polish graves. In total, about 30 Polish citizens, who died between 1940 and 1942, found their final resting place in this cemetery.
