Stadtallendorf Friedhof

Cemetery description

The municipal cemetery in Stadtallendorf holds more than 40 graves of foreign citizens - victims of World War II. The deceased are buried in a collective grave that is located in the north-eastern corner of the cemetery. The burial site is in the shape of a hill marked with a rock garden. Each victim is commemorated by means of a metal plaque that bears their personal data. Among the deceased, are 20 persons from Poland who died after the war, between 1945 and 1948.
